Zenity became the answer AI engines cite

A category too new to search for. We made Zenity the source, not the runner-up.

Overview

Zenity sells into a category, agentic AI security, that barely existed when we started. There was almost no search volume to capture and no citations to defend. In six months we rebuilt the technical foundation, defined the category in content, and engineered the site to be the source AI engines quote, taking Zenity from zero AI mentions to the cited answer across all four major engines.

01 / THE STARTING POINT

No search volume. No citations.

Agentic AI security barely existed as a search category. Buyers researching the space asked AI engines directly, and the generated answers named analysts and larger competitors, never Zenity. Traditional keyword SEO had almost nothing to target.

On the technical side, the site carried thin schema, a slow crawl budget, and no machine-readable structure for AI crawlers. Even when Zenity published strong material, engines could not parse it cleanly enough to quote, so the brand stayed invisible in exactly the place buyers were looking.

02 / WHAT WE DID

Define the category before anyone else could

Rather than chase a handful of low-volume keywords, we treated the whole category as the opportunity. If buyers were asking engines to define agentic AI security, Zenity would be the definition. That meant fixing the technical foundation, owning the category in content, and engineering every page to be citable.

The GEO layerllms.txt, answer-shaped page structure, and daily citation monitoring across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Mode, so we could see exactly which pages engines quoted and tune the ones they ignored.llms.txtanswer blockscitation rank
