Overview

Two Rivers Coffee roasts and packs flavored coffee pods, with more than 250 flavors, licensed favorites, and a subscription program. The catalog was the brand's biggest strength and its biggest SEO problem: hundreds of near-identical product pages, filter URLs multiplying into thousands of duplicates, and almost no content answering what coffee buyers search. We cleaned up the catalog, rebuilt the flavor and collection pages, built the content that pod buyers look for, and tuned the path into subscription. Organic revenue grew 167 percent and subscription signups from organic more than doubled.

01 / THE STARTING POINT

A deep catalog Google could not make sense of.

Every flavor existed in several pack sizes and roast options, and the store's filters generated a new URL for every combination. Google spent its crawl on duplicates while the actual flavor pages sat thin, with a name, a price, and little else. Searches for specific flavored coffee pods, pod compatibility, and gift sets went to marketplaces and big-box retailers.

Repeat customers loved the subscription, but new visitors rarely found their way into it. Organic traffic landed on product pages that never mentioned the subscription, so the most valuable customers the brand could win were walking past the offer.

02 / WHAT WE DID

Make every flavor a page worth ranking

We cut the catalog down to the pages that deserve to rank, then made those pages genuinely useful. Each flavor got tasting notes, compatibility, and pairing detail. Collections were rebuilt around how people shop for pods: by flavor family, by occasion, and by brewer. And every page started pointing to the subscription.

The flavor catalog rebuildWe consolidated variant and filter URLs, rebuilt the flavor pages with unique tasting and compatibility content, and created collection hubs for flavor families, seasonal drops, and gifting. Internal links tie every flavor to its family and to the subscription offer.index cleanupflavor pagescollection hubs

03 / WHAT CHANGED

The catalog finally works as a growth engine

The same catalog that confused Google became the brand's biggest organic asset. Flavor pages ranked for the exact pods people search, gift content captured the holiday spike, and organic visitors started landing in the subscription instead of walking past it.
