TechTrust earned the authority to outrank bigger platforms
A staffing platform with the right content and none of the trust signals to rank it. We built the authority the honest way.
TechTrust matches fintech and engineering teams with vetted technical talent. Their guides on hiring, compliance, and contractor classification were genuinely good, but a thin backlink profile and some risky legacy links left them stuck behind job boards and legacy staffing firms. Over twelve months we cleaned the profile, fixed the technical foundation, and built authority the white-hat way with original research reporters wanted to cite. Organic traffic grew 67 percent as 120 new referring domains lifted Domain Rating from 34 to 50.
Good content stuck on page two.
TechTrust matches fintech and engineering teams with vetted technical talent. Their guides on hiring, compliance, and contractor classification were solid, but a thin backlink profile left them behind job boards and legacy staffing firms with a decade of links. A history of a few low-quality directory placements added risk, and the site carried technical debt that throttled how much of it Google trusted.
The content deserved to rank, which made the ceiling more frustrating. Pages that answered a query better than the incumbents still sat on page two because Google had no reason to trust the domain sending them. The handful of spammy directory links were a liability that could invite a manual review, and crawl and indexation issues meant even the strong pages were not always seen. Authority had to be rebuilt from clean ground before rankings could move.
Earn links no algorithm update can take back
We never bought a link or joined a network. The whole program ran on original data TechTrust already sat on, hiring trends and pay benchmarks that fintech and HR publications actually wanted to reference. Before any of that went out we cleaned house, disavowing the toxic legacy links and fixing the technical debt so every new signal built on a foundation Google could trust.
The work, month by month
The same plan, laid out on the calendar it actually ran on.
Clean and stabilize
Disavowed toxic legacy links, fixed crawl and indexation issues, and tightened internal linking across the site.
Build linkable assets
Turned proprietary hiring and pay data into research reports and a pay-benchmark calculator built to be cited.
Editorial outreach
Pitched the data to fintech and HR publications, earning placements on merit with no paid or reciprocal links.
Compound the authority
As Domain Rating climbed, non-brand rankings followed and content that sat on page two moved onto page one.
Domain Rating and traffic climbed together
Domain Rating growth across the twelve-month engagement, tracked against organic traffic.
The authority pushed page two onto page one
Core non-brand terms that moved as Domain Rating climbed from 34 to 50.
Authority that compounds, built entirely white hat
A year in, the content that always deserved to rank finally did. 120 quality referring domains lifted Domain Rating from 34 to 50, non-brand rankings moved from page two to page one, and organic traffic grew 67 percent, all on links TechTrust would happily show Google.
